Byggtapetsermester Stigen & Kronheim joins Håndverksgruppen

Håndverksgruppen (HG) continues to grow in Norway and incorporates Bergen's largest flooring contractor.

    - It is with great pleasure that we welcome Byggtapetsermester Stigen & Kronheim into the HG. Stigen & Kronheim brings solid professional expertise and strong local heritage to the group. This will significantly strengthen our offering both in the region and nationally. We are impressed by their professionalism and way of working, and we look forward to continuing to grow together, says Ronny Balto Pettersen, Country Manager of Håndverksgruppen Norway.

With 138 companies in Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Germany, and more than 4,400 employees, HG has established itself as one of Northern Europe's leading players in surface services. HG currently has an annual turnover of more than NOK 6.8 billion.

    Good profitability with efficient ways-of-working
Byggtapetsermester Stigen & Kronheim was established in 2017 after Magnus Stigen and Paul I. Kronheim merged their two existing companies. Today, the company is the largest flooring contractor in Western Norway with Paul Inge Kronheim as the General Manager. Paul, together with Anne Smaadal Kronheim, owns all shares in the company. The company has 20 employees with a turnover of NOK 60 million in 2023.

Paul Inge Kronheim believes that the partnership with Håndverksgruppen will help to strengthen the business going forward.

    - Running a company on your own has its challenges, but with the support of Håndverksgruppen, we have a good platform for both growth and support in different areas. This collaboration allows us to focus on our core competences, while exploring new ideas and sharing best practices. Particularly important for us is also our shared commitment to apprentices, which is central to addressing the shortage of qualified professionals, says Paul Inge.

Byggtapetsermester Stigen & Kronheim offers a full range of surface treatment and flooring services, with jobs ranging from new builds and renovations to long-term framework agreements. The company has completed a number of major projects, including the refurbishment of the County Hall in Bergen, where they installed linoleum flooring throughout the building.

    - With our efficient ways-of-working and good profitability, we have already established ourselves as a solid company. At the same time, we really believe in the Håndverksgruppen model and are confident that together we will be even stronger in the future, says Paul Inge.

Both Anne Smaadal Kronheim and Paul I. Kronheim will continue as shareholders in Håndverksgruppen, and the business will continue to develop under the same name.
