    Håndverksgruppen - CODE OF CONDUCT - short version

    "At Håndverksgruppen, we operate everywhere and always in accordance with applicable laws, policies and ethical business practices. We set high standards for ourselves and how we impact the environment and society at large. All employees of Håndverksgruppen shall contribute to a good working environment characterized by tolerance, equality, diversity and mutual respect. We do not accept any form of bullying, harassment or other illegal behavior - neither against colleagues nor against anyone else. We speak up when we experience behavior or situations that violate this, if it could harm others or the company's reputation."

    Purpose and main principle

    The purpose of the Code of Conduct is to create a corporate culture that promotes integrity and the values, standards and policies of Håndverksgruppen. The underlying principle of the Code of Conduct is that we always do the right thing, and if we are unsure, we first ask people who might know. The Code of Conduct applies to all employees of Håndverksgruppen and its subsidiaries and we expect all directors, managers and employees to be familiar with it.

    You should always
    • Behave professionally and treat others with respect.
    • Be careful when writing about, or posting pictures on blogs or social media of your local business, HG, suppliers or customers.
    • Follow all laws and regulations.
    • Act in a way that promotes a culture of respect, inclusion, equality and diversity.
    • Always act in the best interest of the company.
    • Avoid conflicts of interest and inform your line manager of any actual or potential conflict.
    • Follow the rules on inside information and insider lists.
    • Compete fairly and in accordance with competition law.
    • Act in a socially responsible manner that protects people, the environment and society.
    • Promote the principles of the international conventions on human rights and workers' rights.
    • Act in accordance with our anti-corruption policy.

    You should never
    • Behave in a harassing or discriminatory manner or in a way that could be perceived as threatening or offensive by others.
    • Discriminate or make it easier to discriminate against others.
    • Share confidential information.
    • Engaging in any form of corruption - including offering, promising, demanding, requesting, receiving or accepting illegal or improper gifts or other benefits.
    • Do not give or accept gifts or preferential treatment:
      • It is a gift that is not money.
      • It is in accordance with normal business practice.
      • It is of negligible value.
      • It must not be considered as a bribe, payment or illegal commission.
      • It is consistent with the values of the organization.
      • It does not violate any law.
    • Exploiting children as labor or any form of forced labor.
    • Breaking or evading international sanctions.

    Whistleblowing on inappropriate behavior

    Whistleblowing is the act of reporting possible violations of laws and regulations and/or company policies and guidelines. All employees of HG and all subsidiaries, including permanent, temporary and contract employees, can report inappropriate behavior and events. All whistleblowing is taken seriously. The process is documented in writing.
