The recognised painting company Seehusen joins Håndverksgruppen

Håndverksgruppen continues to grow in Denmark and includes the recognised painting company Seehusen in Copenhagen.

    - We're continuing our growth in Denmark with another solid and traditional paint company, Seehusen, whose roots go back more than 130 years. The fact that they want to continue their family heritage with us is a great pleasure and a vote of confidence, says Frederik Stage Olsen, Country Manager for Håndverksgruppen in Denmark.

    - In Denmark, we now have 16 quality companies with highly skilled craftsmen. This gives us the opportunity for excellent co-operation across the board, says Frederik.

With Seehusen on board, Håndverksgruppen now has a total annual turnover of around DKK 450 million in Denmark.

    Mini version of Håndverksgruppen
The painting company Seehusen, which is based in Rødovre outside Copenhagen, has been family-owned and managed by a total of four generations since it was established in 1892. The current owner and fourth generation, Peder Axelsen, has run the company for the past 25 years. In addition, 12 of the employees also own shares in the company.

    - At Seehusen, we are a mini version of Håndverksgruppen. Our eight master painters each run their own small business and help each other internally. Now that we are joining Håndverksgruppen, I believe and hope that these synergies can be realised on an even larger scale, says General Manager Peder Axelsen.

    - Håndverksgruppen brings together the best of each company, while maintaining our unique business culture. I look forward to developing Seehusen further with someone who shares the same business philosophy and values as us, Axelsen points out.

    Quality and customer service
Malerfirmaet Seehusen provides all painting services for businesses, housing associations and contractors throughout the Copenhagen area and Zealand. Good craftsmanship combined with a high degree of customer focus has been the company's core competences since its inception.

    - This fundamental business principle has meant that our customer base today largely consists of relationships that go back many years. Seehusen has evolved over the years, but our focus on quality, customer service and a good working environment has always remained the same. We have a stable workforce with many loyal employees who have been with us for many years. I'm also very proud that we have such a flat organisation with a high degree of employee influence," says Axelsen.

The painting company Seehusen has 75 dedicated employees and an annual turnover of DKK 61 million.

    - By joining Håndverksgruppen, Seehusen gains extra ballast and security for the future. As an owner, I've felt some uncertainty, and I'm pleased that both the company's legacy and my employees' future are now secure, says Axelsen.

At the same time, he assures that operations will continue as before, as customers know them.

    - Seehusen is a strong brand name with a long history and proud traditions, and I'm keen to preserve that. We will continue to operate as before with our own identity and local affiliation as our customers know us, says Axelsen.

Both Peder and the other 12 shareholders will continue as owners of Håndverksgruppen.
