Wonderful growth for Håndverksgruppen with new Danish winner on the team

Growth reaches new heights for Håndverksgruppen in Denmark when the painting and bricklaying company Olsen & Christiansen in Copenhagen becomes part of the group. Håndverksgruppen thus expands its service offering with Murerfirmaet Olsen & Christiansen as the first bricklaying company in Denmark.

    - We're experiencing fantastic growth in Denmark, where we've added four new companies since the beginning of the year. In total, we now have 17 companies, where Olsen & Christiansen stands out by offering flooring and bricklaying in addition to painting. It's great to be able to welcome so many talented people who will help us continue to grow, says Frederik Stage Olsen, Country Manager for Håndverksgruppen in Denmark.

With a solid foothold in Norway and Sweden and a growing presence in Denmark and Germany, the Group continues to attract new, solid craft businesses. The Group's turnover has now exceeded NOK 6.8 billion.

Olsen & Christiansen - two organisations

Malerfirmaet Olsen & Christiansen was founded in 1996. With a strong presence in the Copenhagen area and a strong focus on quality and customer service, the painting company has built up a loyal customer base over the years. Murerfirmaet Olsen & Christiansen is part of the painting industry with roots dating back to 1964 through the original masonry company Jensen & Dam. The company became part of the Olsen & Christiansen family after a generational change and acquisition in 2021.

    - We are delighted to welcome Olsen & Christiansen to Håndverksgruppen. With their expertise, good reputation and strong local market position, they are an ideal partner for us. The painting company has a solid customer base in the Copenhagen area and already knows several of our companies in the region. The masonry company, which dates back to 1964, has an invaluable history and expertise that we will benefit greatly from. Our goal has always been to create a group where craftsmen can grow and develop together, and we're now really seeing the results of that, says Frederik.

Olsen & Christiansen performs all types of painting, flooring and masonry work for housing cooperatives and property companies, as well as renovation and complete refurbishment of homes and commercial premises.

Managing Director Tom Olsen is looking forward to the collaboration with Håndverksgruppen.

    - We have had a positive dialogue with Håndverksgruppen throughout the process. We share the same values and are both very concerned about how we run our business, how we treat our customers and how we take care of our employees and partners.

    - Becoming part of Håndverksgruppen offers opportunities for growth, but also a better and more secure future for our employees. Personally, I am proud that I have built up this business over 28 years, and that there are people who believe in it and want to continue running it with me, he explains.

With its painting and bricklaying business, Olsen & Christiansen has a total of 30 employees and a turnover of DKK 43 million in 2023.

Olsen & Christiansen has carried out a number of prestigious projects, including all the painting work on the iconic Palads cinema in Copenhagen.

    - Our strength has always been our long-term relationships with customers and employees, many of whom have been with us since we started in 1996. This loyalty is a clear sign that we've done something right in the way we look after our customers and employees, says Tom.

Olsen & Christiansen will continue as before, with the same name and local presence that customers have come to know. The purchase price is confidential between the parties, but all owners will reinvest part of the purchase price and become shareholders in Håndverksgruppen.
