Egon Hofsted & Søn joins Håndverksgruppen in Denmark

Malerfirmaet Egon Hofsted & Søn has become part of Håndverksgruppen, strengthening the group’s presence in Southern Jutland, Denmark. The company delivers professional painting services with a particular focus on new construction and has built a solid network of customers and partners in the region.

    Proud craft traditions across generations

As one of the oldest painting companies in Tønder, Malerfirmaet Egon Hofsted & Søn’s roots go back to the 1950s. Egon Hofsted joined the company in 1973, which was renamed after him in 1982, and in 2007 a generational transition began. Today, his son, Sune Hofsted, serves as the company’s General Manager, and over more than 50 years, the family has built a strong culture characterized by solid craft, dedication, and long-standing customer relationships.

Malerfirmaet Egon Hofsted & Søn currently employs 11 employees and is known for high quality, precision, and reliable deliveries. The company undertakes both new construction and renovation projects, where excellent craft and close collaboration are top priorities.

With this solid foundation, Sune now looks forward to the next step for the company: becoming part of Håndverksgruppen.

Our employees are very positive and excited to collaborate with new colleagues. For me, the most important thing is to gain a larger platform for professional exchange. Instead of having to invent everything ourselves, we can develop together – for the benefit of both customers and employees, says Sune Hofsted.

An important strengthening in Southern Jutland

Frederik Stage Olsen, Managing Director of HG Denmark, sees the expansion as an important strategic move:

    – Malerfirmaet Egon Hofsted & Søn brings extensive experience, high professional standards, and a culture that fits perfectly within Håndverksgruppen. Their inclusion strengthens our position in Southern Jutland and allows us to develop joint solutions and create added value for both customers and employees, he says.

As part of Håndverksgruppen, Malerfirmaet Egon Hofsted & Søn gains access to collective purchasing agreements, a large network, and organizational development opportunities, enabling them to optimize operations and enhance collaboration across the country.

The company will continue under its current name and leadership, maintaining the close relationships with employees and customers that characterize Håndverksgruppen companies.
