Håndverksgruppen (HG) is taking another step towards becoming Europe's leading surface contractor by welcoming bevar våtrom AS, formerly known as BOVG Takst og Skade, into the group. The inclusion is part of our strategy to bring together the industry's most forward-looking players under one umbrella – with a focus on sustainability, damage repair, and knowledge sharing.
Strengthened expertise and capacity
– bevar våtrom AS will be an important part of our focus on sustainable solutions and damage repair, says Gjermund Söder Vegge, Managing Director of Håndverksgruppen in Norway.
– Their specialist expertise in damage assessment and local repair of wet rooms will contribute positively to Håndverksgruppen's further development.
The company brings with it 13 experienced employees, including four master masons and two certified appraisers. This strengthens the Håndverksgruppen's capacity and gives HG the opportunity to reach new customer segments and expand our service offering.
Johannes Leth, who has been with the company since 2007, will take over as General Manager. Øyvind Solberg will continue as an advisor for appraisals and damage assessments, including troubleshooting and change of ownership cases.
The appraisal business, beyond that related to wet rooms, is not included in the transaction and will remain part of BOVG.
Expertise in consulting and troubleshooting
– Our goal is to build a strong competence environment within damage consulting and damage repair, says Johannes Leth.
– We are proud of our new name, bevar våtrom AS, which clearly shows that we focus on saving and repairing bathrooms, rather than demolishing them. For us, it is also an expression of our desire to preserve not only wet rooms, but also the culture and expertise within our company.
bevar våtrom has extensive experience in repairing faulty workmanship and design errors – from individual bathrooms to complex projects with 65-70 units. This expertise will strengthen Håndverksgruppen's overall development environment and improve our delivery capacity across the group.
– We look forward to further developing bevar våtrom in close collaboration with the other companies in Håndverksgruppen, and we are excited to send employees to HG Academy, concludes Johannes.
Like all companies in the Håndverksgruppen, bevar våtrom will continue to operate as an independent entity. This ensures that the company retains its culture and flexibility, while gaining access to the community's resources and expertise.
